Salmon River Symphony Orchestra

 December 17, 2009

The Salmon River Orchestra presented their Winter Concert Thursday night to an appreciative audience. Interspersed with traditional Christmas carols were classical pieces, contemporary tunes of the season, and Jewish pieces that were accented with tradition dances as seen in the photo. The Salmon High School Show Choir as well as soloist singers and musicians complemented the orchestra of 17 Lemhi County musicians and one from Challis. The evening ended with the orchestra complementing the recitation of The Nite Before Christmas, followed by the audience joining in singing Silent Night.

The orchestra welcomes any musicians that would like to join them on Thursday evenings at 6pm in the Salmon High School music room.   (Photo and text courtesy of lemiweb.com)
